The Boy Genius has printed an e-mail exchange between an iPhone 4 user who has the dreaded antenna issue and “The Steve” himself. I encourage you to click the link and read the e-mail exchange. It is absolutely stunning to see how arrogant Steve Jobs is. He must truly think that he all powerful. He really needs to get a clue and do something about these antenna issues. Ironically, he may now be forced to deal with it because Apple is being sued over these issues. One would think that this would get his attention.
Let’s face facts Steve, “No, you are getting all worked up over a few days of rumors. Calm down” and “You are most likely in an area with very low signal strength” just don’t cut it. If your users can’t actually hold your phone and use it the way it was intended to be used, it’s your problem, not theirs. Step up to the plate and fix it. That’s what a responsible company would do. Right now, you’re giving the world the impression that Apple is far from responsible.
UPDATE: Apple PR has apparently claimed that the conversation is bogus. Boy Genius has pasted the full headers and screenshots from the iPhone to prove that these e-mails are authentic. More info as it comes.
UPDATE #2: Boy Genius now claims that the e-mails are real and offers some proof to back up his claims. Interestingly, Apple PR which was quick to claim that the e-mails were fake have now gone silent after proof of authenticity was posted. Wonder what that says about “The Steve” or whomever answers his e-mail….
