Coolest, Display, EVER!

Advertisements

If you’ve watched any of CNN’s election coverage, you’ve likely seen John King using this really cool Multi-Touch display to explain the results and describe possible scenarios. At times it’s so involving that watching it makes it seem like you’re watching Minority Report. The display is made by a small company called Perceptive Pixel who’s main clients include the armed forces, national security agencies, large businesses, and other TV networks. But CNN is the only TV network to have put it on the air thus far. The going price for these displays is rumored to be $100,000. Given that the one CNN is using has all sorts of extra software including Google Maps, the odds are that CNN paid more than that.

Expect this to be showing up in a boardroom near you, or on Cribs in the home of your favorite gangsta rapper.
