There’s more news from BlackBerry today. The smartphone vendor is beefing up it’s Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) Portfolio with BlackBerry Enterprise IM v3.1. Enterprise IM mobilizes desktop IM solutions to optimize communication and collaboration with secure and real-time messaging among colleagues, customers and partners across the street or globe.
This update to Enterprise IM, allows users to:
- Tap to call within chat
- Instantly send meeting invites within chat
- Easily communicate and connect across platforms securely with public IM providers like Yahoo! and federated partners such as Skype
- Enjoy enhanced avatar, contact management and presence status features
Enterprise IM supports the following systems:
- Microsoft OCS 2007 R2
- Microsoft Lync 2010
- Microsoft Lync 2013
- IBM Lotus Sametime 8.5 and 8.5.2.
