Launching next week is an app called Shufl which helps people to experience the best of their local economy and to share their own personal inventory with the people around them. Here’s how it works:
- Use the app to explore what’s around you. There are different categories available for you to look at.
- Once you find something you like, make an offer. Or offer up products or services that you have.
- Once the offer is accepted, you can chat with the other party to arrange for the delivery of your goods or services.
It’s a pretty straight forward concept that basically takes the power of local online classified services like Kijiji and Craigslist and melds it with the ease of use of Tinder. It’s a very interesting concept and one I believe might catch on. The app will be available in iOS and Android flavors in beta form next week. I’d take a look as I think it will give you a glimpse of the future of the local marketplace.
