Earlier this year, I reviewed the Asus ZenFone 2 and found it to be a very interesting phone as it had dual SIM capabilities as well as a pretty good camera. That wasn’t that long ago and I’m kind of surprised that Asus has come out with its replacement in the form of the ZenFone 2 Laser. Here’s the key features of this latest Asus smartphone:
- Lightning-fast laser auto focus 13 mega-pixel PixelMaster 2.0 camera
- Dual active SIM with selectable LTE data connectivity
- Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with Adreno 405 graphics
- 3000 mAh Removable battery
- 3GB RAM
- 16GB of storage that is expandable to 128GB via a MicroSD card
- A 5.5-inch 1080p display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for unprecedented damage protection.
- Android 5.0 (What? No Android Marshmallow?)
The ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE551KL) will available unlocked in Canada for $269 at Staples, Canada Computers, NCIX and Memory Express in November. I’ve requested one to review and expect it to be online as soon as I get it.
