Netatmo has announced a partnership with IFTTT, a service that connects hundreds of your favourite apps and devices together. Users will now have the ability to integrate their Wind Gauge which is an accessory to the Netatmo Weather Station to create simple recipes that trigger personalized, programmed actions.
For example, consumers can create personalized actions that shut their garage doors when the wind is too strong or turn their watering system on and off depending on the strength of the wind. They can also choose to be emailed to know if the weather in their area is good for outdoor activities, such as wind surfing, kite surfing, golfing etc.
I would check out the IFTTT to see what recipes are published as there are sure to be a lot of interesting ones.
