Review: Fratelli Orsini CD3320 Touchscreen Leather Driving Gloves
The holiday season is upon us and I just got a pair of driving gloves as a gift from a close friend. So, you’re likely wondering why I’m writing about driving gloves and what makes them special enough to write in this blog. It’s simple. The Fratelli Orsini CD3320 Touchscreen Leather Driving Gloves are no ordinary driving gloves. I’ll get to what makes them different in a second. But let’s start with how they work as driving gloves. These gloves are unlined and are what comes to mind when we think of classic driving gloves. They’ve made of leather from the finest Italian lambskin and they are soft which allows great flexibility and an exceptional grip on the wheel, and that’s important when one drives in a spirited manner. I cannot make my hands slip on the steering wheel while I wear them. To complete the classic driving gloves look, these gloves have knuckle holes and a snap closure on the back, and vent holes on both sides will keep your hands cool and dry. But what sets these gloves apart is the fact that they are capacitive. In non-nerd speak, that means the gloves allow you to control your smartphone while wearing the gloves because it allows the electrical current that naturally runs through your body to pass through the gloves. For best results, you should make sure that the gloves are a snug, but not overly snug that you’re uncomfortable. That allows greater accuracy when using your smartphone. All the fingers are capacitive which means that you can type and use any finger that you want. Perhaps using your smartphone while driving isn’t a smart idea, but it is handy to be able to use your smartphone if you have to without having to take the gloves off as that could end badly while driving in traffic.
Downsides? I can’t think of any as long as you get the right size of glove. If you’ve got a driver, such as someone who loves their BMW, Benz, or some other performance car on your list who also has a smartphone, you should slip a pair of Fratelli Orsini CD3320 Touchscreen Leather Driving Gloves into their stocking. They’re about $100 online and in stores. They’ll thank you for it. Just suggest to them that they don’t use their phone while driving.
