As I write this posting, Windows XP appears to be selling at a rapid clip on Amazon since it was discontinued by Microsoft at the end of June. Just check out their Bestselling Software List which gets updated hourly for proof of this. Windows XP Home is ranked at #16 and Windows XP Pro is #15. To put that in perspective, Vista Home Preminum comes in at #47. But to be fair it is forced upon you pre-installed on every new PC these days. So that might have something to do with the low ranking. Also of note Mac OS X 10.5 is ranked at #7, which perhaps shows that people are giving up on Vista choosing to explore other alternatives.
