Another sign that the evil empire Microsoft’s grip on the computing universe might be weakening comes from this report from market research firm Net Applications. Microsoft’s Internet Explorer browser has had its marketshare drop to 69.77% in November. Not only that, Firefox now commands 20.78% of the browser market and Safari from Apple has 7.13% of the market. If you accept that Internet Explorer has had marketshare as high as 95%, this is one hell of a drop. One wonders if this is a one time blip or if it is part of a larger trend.
Oh wait.
