According to the San Francisco Chronicle, HP’s Ex-CEO Carly Fiorina is battling breast cancer. She has recently had surgery according to the article. Fiorina is best known for merging HP with Compaq back in the early part of this decade, although she was forced to leave shortly afterwards after profits stalled and thousands were laid off. She’s also known for being the economic adviser to GOP presidential candidate Sen. John McCain in his failed run for President, as well as being one of the most influential women in the tech world.
Here’s hoping for a speedy recovery.
