Twenty years ago today, the World Wide Web made it’s appearance to the world and the world hasn’t been the same since. What do I mean by that? Simple, thanks to the World Wide Web you can do all sorts of things from the comfort of your home… or anywhere else for that matter. Here’s a short list of the major things that the World Wide Web allows you to do:
- Order Pizza
- Bank
- Shop
- Watch
Porn Videos
- Read Books And Newspapers
Rant Post On Your Blog
Rant Post On Twitter
- Tell The World About Your
Meaningless Life On Facebook
- Make Money In New And Unique Ways
- Lose Money In New And Unique Ways
- Orchestrate The Overthrowing Of Dictators. For Example, The Arab Spring.
Seriously though, there’s been a radical shift in terms of how the world does things since Sir Tim Berners-Lee submitted a paper called Information Management: A proposal which was the basis of what the World Wide Web is today. Expect it to evolve further in the next 20 years…. Assuming it along with the Internet stays open and accessible.
