I got an e-mail from Sony announcing that they have a brand you phone for you to lust after. Called the Xperia Mini Pro, it’s another innovative Android phone. I’ll quote the press release:
“Powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon™ processor, the latest addition to the Xperia™ family runs Google’s Android™ 2.3 Gingerbread and integrates amazing imaging and display technology from Sony, including a 5 megapixel camera, Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA® Engine and HD video recording (720p). “
Sounds good so far, but here’s what got my attention:
Optimized for quick messaging, the slide-out keyboard with smart functionality delivers a subtle but fast Type & Send functionality eliminating the need to open a dedicated app for each type of message. The Smart Keyboard triggers predictive messaging actions automatically when the user slides out the keyboard.
Finally! A real keyboard on something that’s not named the Blackberry. I’m in love already! I’m in the process of requesting one to review. So expect to see an in-depth look at this phone in the near future. In the meantime, you can lust after it here. It will be available on Rogers for $49.95 on the usual 3 year ball and chain commitment that the low price requires.
