I got an e-mail from Sony Canada today with some news about a new Xperia phone that’s being launched called the Xperia S.

The Xperia S is an Android (version 2.3 AKA Gingerbread) smartphone that delivers a stunning HD viewing experience with a high resolution screen, brilliant 4.3” HD Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA engine and a 12MP fast capture camera that goes from sleep to snap in just over a second with a single key press. This smartphone also features a powerful 1.5GHz dual-core processor for faster performance. Xperia S is also NFC (Near Field Communication) enabled allowing consumers to share content with each other as well as enjoy an increasing number of NFC applications and services.

This sounds like a rocking phone. Xperia S will be available in limited quantities across Canada, exclusively at the Sony Store and it is compatible with the Rogers wireless network.
