It’s not every day that I post a music video on my blog. But this one is different. Sony has teamed up with Canadian new waye band Metric to create a video featuring a rare acoustic performance of the song “Synthetica” shot live at Hotel on Rivington’s penthouse in New York City. Audience members were given Xperia ion smartphones and were encouraged to unleash their creativity as they filmed the performance and the final product being put together by Chris Lenox Smith. You can view the video here. I have to admit that after watching the video my first thought was “this was shot on a smartphone?” The quality is nothing short of impressive. I’d love to get my hands on this smartphone to see what it can do. Perhaps Sony would be kind enough to hook me up with one to review.
🙂
