I got an interesting e-mail from Rogers yesterday. Apparently their stores are now on Google Street View. Here’s the details:
Eight Rogers retail locations have been mapped, with 20 more planned for May. Rogers is the first telecommunications company in Canada to do this.
The locations mapped include:
British Columbia:
Vancouver: 1295 Davie St. and 1617 Lonsdale Ave.
Manitoba:
Winnipeg: 1485 Portage Ave. (Polo Park)
Ontario:
Toronto: 218 Yonge St. (Eaton Centre), 1 Yorkdale Rd. (Yorkdale) and 764 Yonge. St. (Yonge and Bloor).
Barrie: 509 Bayfield St. N. (Georgian Mall)
Quebec:
Pointe Claire: 6815 Trans Canada Hwy. (Fairview Pointe Claire)
I had a look at the Yorkdale location and while it is a small store, it does have the new look that I spoke about when Rogers launched it. But why go through the trouble of doing this? It likely puts them on the bleeding edge as very few interiors have received this treatment. Need more info? There’s a post on RedBoard that goes some more detail.
