Amazon quietly launched several new Kindle tablets today. Dubbed the Kindle Fire HDX, they feature the following specs:
- 7″ and 9″ models
- An increase in display density (216 PPI to 323 PPI for the 7″ and 254 to 339 PPI for the 9″)
- A quad-core 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
- 2G of RAM
- Android 4.2.2 and Amazon added a few new features to their applications
- 100% sRGB color accuracy
- Improved brightness, and dynamic image contrast
- Up to 11 hours of battery life—17 hours when you’re reading
They will be available in November and prices start at $229 USD.
