Apparently people still care about BBM as according to this Tweet, it gained 20 million users in a week:

If you read the blog post associated with the Tweet, you’ll note this:
One week ago we launched BBM for iPhone and Android. What a week it’s been! With the addition of more than 20 million new users on BBM, we are now at over 80 million monthly active users of BBM across BlackBerry, Android and iPhone, and #teamBlackBerry is thrilled.
Nice. But not to be a party pooper, rival IM app WhatsApp has 350 million users. So let’s see if BBM can get to that level.
Oh, there was one more thing:
We still have a few more tricks up our sleeves and I will look to share more with you as we bring new features to BBM in the coming months.
I’m guessing that new features will be coming like video chatting and BlackBerry will figure out a way to make money from BBM. At that point, we’ll see what kind of traction BBM actually has.
