Yesterday they announced that Ingram Micro announced will become a leading provider of BlackBerry smartphones throughout Latin America, allowing BlackBerry to tap into Ingram Micro’s customer base of more than 20,000 value-added resellers and retailers in the region. Ingram Micro is the world’s largest wholesale technology distributor. This announcement confirms BlackBerry’s commitment to its customers worldwide by partnering with Ingram Micro to provide software, services and smartphones in more than 40 countries.
This deal matters because BlackBerry has shown strength in this region, and a distribution deal like this helps it to maintain that strength. And that’s a good thing for BlackBerry.
