At the Mobile World Congress this past February, BlackBerry announced the brand new eBBM Suite which is a new family of BBM products and services aimed at enterprise customers. Today, BlackBerry followed through on that announcement by releasing BBM Protected, the first solution in the eBBM Suite for enterprise-class messaging.
BBM Protected is the only secure mobile instant messaging app that uses a FIPS 140-2 validated cryptographic library, thereby allowing colleagues to exchange private and confidential enterprise data via mobile messaging.BBM Protected chats aren’t limited to users inside the company; employees can chat securely with BBM Protected users at other companies as well. Then they can use the same BBM app to chat and share with family and friends in their personal lives.
BBM Protected is yet another example of how BlackBerry provides secure, productive mobile collaboration and communications in the enterprise space, and how the company continues to look for ways to deliver leading enterprise mobility solutions and tools.
More details can be found in the press release.
