Wearhaus Arc Headphones Promises “Social Listening”

Here’s something different. I’d like you to look at Wearhaus Arc which is the world’s first headphone that seamlessly syncs up multiple friends to listen together, whether it is introducing a friend to an artist you love, expanding your own musical taste, even creating music yourself. Wearhaus Arc brings all these interactions together into a new listening experience.

Key features include:

  • The Arc comes with a mobile app to help you see what other people nearby are listening to. You can create your own music “station” to share your audio regardless of where it is playing from (Spotify, iTunes, YouTube, etc), or tune with other people as well.
  • Privacy settings let you easily decide who you want to share with.
  • Control playback or sharing functionality with simple gestures. If you don’t have the app or just feeling lazy, you can use the Arc’s intuitive touch gestures for playback and sharing functions.
  • Express who you are. When others join your station, their headphones also sync to your color. The Arc’s LED light rings can be personalized with countless color schemes to match your mood or style and dimmed to turn off completely.
  • The Arc provides precision tuned audio through its 40mm dual diaphragm drivers and a finely balanced frequency response, reproducing your favorite songs as they were meant to be heard.
  • Arc’s ear cushions are made of the highest quality faux leather and noise-isolating memory foam so you can listen for hours without any discomfort.
  • Arc’s battery lasts for 16 continuous hours of solo listening, or 10 hours of sharing. A micro-USB charging cable is included, along with a backup 3.5mm audio cable in case the Arc runs out of batteries. Voice calls and in-game chat are supported by a high-quality digital mic embedded in the ear-cup, right next to your jaw.

The company is currently on Kickstarter to fund the mass production of the Wearhaus Arc, due to ship in January 2015. The project reached their funding goal in just 4 days, but early birds can still pre-order the Wearhaus Arc for only $159 for a limited time.
