Here’s some disturbing news. Twitter is going to start tracking what other apps are on your smartphone. Thus the social media company will know if you’re an Angry Birds or Candy Crush addict.
Who the hell do these guys think they are? Facebook?
In any case if this bothers you, and it should, the link above explains how to disable this feature for both iOS and Android. This process also allegedly removes any data collected about your apps from Twitter. Keep in mind that they’re only collecting data about the apps. Not the data that the apps generate. So in that regard, this is tame. Many things that Facebook does are far more invasive. But one has to wonder if this is the first step of Twitter becoming as invasive as Facebook.
