I post a fair amount of projects that are looking for crowdfunding on either Kickstarter or Indiegogo. But I have to admit that this is the oddest one that I’ve come across and I could not resist not posting it. Even though it is slightly NSFW.
xSync Technologies has announced a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for a new subscription service that syncs adult massagers with adult movies.
According to the company, the adult entertainment industry is a nearly $13 billion industry, and they believe that their brand-new technology has the potential to completely change the way consumers interact with adult videos. To use xSync, users need only connect xO, xSync’s wireless adapter, to their compatible LELO vibrator. xO then syncs the vibrator and movie. This creates an experience that is immersive and interactive, allowing the user to feel sensations based on what’s going on in the movie.
By bridging the gap between the sensuality of adult movies and the physical interaction of personal massagers, xSync helps users experience an entirely new dimension in their favorite adult movies. xSync also controls multiple nearby vibrators at the same time, so the experience can be enjoyed solo, with a partner, or with a group.
xSync Technologies will be launching an IndieGoGo campaign that will be live in March 2015. Pledgers will be able to able from a variety of perks, including campaign-exclusive rates to xSync’s subscription service, as they help make xSync available to the masses.
Like I said, this is different. But seeing how much cash is in the adult entertainment industry, maybe they’re on to something.
