The Ashley Madison nightmare continues. Motherboard is reporting that another massive data dump, as in 20GB worth which is twice the amount of the last data dump, has occured. Now here’s where things get really interesting. This dump appears to be aimed that the CEO of Avid Life Media who is the company that runs Ashley Madison:
“Hey Noel, you can admit it’s real now,” reads a message posted on the same dark web site hosting the earlier data dump.
This is presumably directed to Avid Life Media’s CEO Noel Biderman. Motherboard confirmed the message was signed with the PGP key previously used by Impact Team.
Along with the message is a new torrent file that directs to a massive archive just under 20GB in size. Judging by the file names, it could include Biderman’s emails (one compressed folder is called “noel.biderman.mail.7z”), and more internal data rather than customer information.
Now the veracity of this dump is being verified, but if these are internal e-mails and the like from Avid Life Media that the so called “Impact Team” has acquired, you can fully expect them to be very damaging to Avid Live Media and whatever reputation that it may have left.
Stay tuned for updates.
