In Depth: Asus Holiday Showcase

Today I got a chance to take a look at the latest Asus products that are out in time for the holiday season. That’s right. It’s that time of year. Here’s some things that caught my eye:

Here’s the new ZenWatch 2 which is being shown off in Canada for the first time. It runs Android Wear 5.1.1. and is IP67 water resistant. You get 512MB RAM and 4GB of storage.

Here’s a look at the 1.67″ AMOLED screen which was very sharp when I looked at it. It will be available shortly in Canada.

This is the Asus GX700 gaming laptop. It looks like every other 17.3″ gaming laptop, but it has a trick up its sleeve.

It has a docking station that helps to keep it cool while you’re pwning n00bz in Call Of Duty. That way you can run it faster to get faster frame rates and better graphics without killing the laptop.

This gaming laptop is liquid cooled. The liquid is piped through these connectors into the laptop and cool the CPU and GPU. It is not yet available and is more of a proof of concept at this point. But expect it to eventually appear in stores sooner or later.

This is the Asus G752. It’s a sweet looking 17″ gaming laptop that gives you about 4 hours of battery life.

The yellow and orange sections are lit and look really cool.

This is the Asus ZenPad S 8.0. It features a stunning 2K (2048×1536) IPS multi-touch display with a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3560 processor and has 2GB RAM and 64GB of storage. It runs Android 5.0 and has a 5MP camera. This should be in stores shortly.

IMG_1723This is the Transformer Book Flip. This picture doesn’t tell the whole story.

IMG_1728But this one does. You can use it as a tablet or a laptop simply by “flipping” the screen. Sweet. It’s quick and comes loaded with Windows 10.

IMG_1727

Here’s the Asus RT-AC88U 802.11ac router. If it’s anything like the other routers that Asus makes, it should be wickedly fast. One thing that makes it cool is that fact that it comes with 8 gigabit ports.

Finally, this is the Asus ZEN AIO PC. It has a 23.8″ IPS screen which looks sweet when I tried it out earlier today. Windows 10 users will really love this PC. Maybe some iMac users will like it as well.

Check out these items and more at your local Asus retailer this holiday season.
