Move Over Siri… Here’s Cortana

Microsoft has been slowly rolling out it’s Cortana personal assistant to customers in the USA and China on Android and iOS. Here’s what the Windows Blog had to say on this:

Cortana was created to be a truly personal digital assistant – available on the go, no matter where or when you need help, and on whatever device you carry.

What’s particularly notable about today’s announcement is that there is enhanced functionality for users of Cyanogen OS which is the Android version that Microsoft has invested in. Interesting.

So, why would you want to use Cortana on your phone instead of Google Now or Siri? Here’s some reasons. It’s already on Windows 10 desktop and integrates with the mobile version of Cortana. Siri is not available on OS X at present. This may make Apple decide to finally step up their game and get Siri onto OS X. It may also get Google’s attention as well.
