I have to admit that I don’t think this is a really good idea. But clearly someone at Microsoft does as they’ve announced partnerships with several companies to bring Windows 10, Office 365, and Azure to cars. The goal is that you’ll be able to answer emails, schedule meetings and even tinker with PowerPoint presentations while you’re on the road.
Maybe it’s just me, but this seems like a really bad idea. We have a huge problem with distracted driving right now. Thus adding an Office suite to your car is going to make this worse. I really wish that cars would be just….. well cars and not something that is part of your connected life. Or maybe I’m just getting old.
