Donald Trump To Apple: Build Your Stuff In The USA

Donald Trump who’s running for president of the US at the moment has decided to take on Apple. He’s apparently ticked that Apple doesn’t make most of its products on US soil and appears to dodge paying taxes in the US. Thus, he’s come up with an idea. He’d have an industry policy that would heavily tax US companies that don’t manufacture on US soil.

To see the full context of what Trump said, watch this video and pay attention to what he says starting 1:04 into the video.

Let’s face facts for a second. There is zero chance that this would ever happen. The reality is that Apple makes products overseas because it allows them to do so at a price that consumers would pay while making sure Apple makes a buck or two in the process. Bring those jobs over to the US, assuming you could of course because I am not sure that you can, and bad things would likely happen to Apple. That would not be good for Apple, the US economy or for Trump if he were to become president. But Trump strikes me as the sort who doesn’t let little things like facts and logic get in the way of his arguments. Thus non of that may matter to him.
