Twitter seems to have fallen and is unable to get up as users who log into Twitter via the web see this:
That will leave roughly 300 million people unable to communicate, find out the latest news and trending topics, or simply post the latest cat videos and rant about stuff. Twitter is apparently aware of the issue and is likely trying to stop people from complaining. Likely on Facebook.
UPDATE: Things seem to be returning to normal, though intermittent problems appear to persist.
