Netatmo has introduced two new AI algorithm features for Welcome, the indoor security camera with face recognition that I reviewed last year:
- Alarm detection: The camera can now detect acoustic alarms, turning standard household alarms into smart alarms. It sends users a notification and records a video of detection from a smoke alarm, CO alarm, security alarm or siren to ensure a safer home.
- Personal FTP storage capability: In addition Welcome’s previous local SD card storage, its videos can now be stored to a user’s personal server using FTP. The camera automatically transfers videos as soon as they have been recorded.
Plus Netatmo enhances Welcome’s facial recognition performance. The camera’s new advanced artificial intelligence algorithm significantly improves the camera’s effectiveness.This enriched technology, fully developed by Netatmo, reduces Welcome’s training time and increases its efficiency when recognizing faces.
The features are available now for free via automatic updates.
