As I type this, Canada Post and the union who represents postal workers are engaged in contract talks that are not going well. A strike could happen at any time with 72 hours notice, but both sides have agreed not to pull that trigger just yet and are still talking. But businesses are not taking any chances and many decided to shift mail and package delivery to Purolator Courier, which happens to be owned by Canada Post. You get the idea. Companies have to remember that if their customer service goes south, people will put it on Twitter, Facebook, or any number of other social media platform. Hopefully Purolator has figured that out and takes corrective action to make this go away.
