New York Attorney General To Investigate Facebook Email Collection…. It’s A Big Hint That You Should #DeleteFacebook

Facebook fresh off of being taken to court by Canada, and potentially being on the hook for $5 Billion, is now facing another investigation. According to the New York Times, the New York State attorney general’s office plans to open an investigation into Facebook’s unauthorized collection of more than 1.5 million users’ email address books. You might recall the story that I wrote on that recently where the company claimed it was an accident.

I am all for this latest investigation as Facebook needs to be brought to heel. As clearly Facebook does not care about the security of their users seeing as the CEO of the company Mark Zuckerberg has called Facebook users dumb f**ks. And then proceeds to sell the data of those same users without their consent. This is wrong and needs to be punished. And seeing as New York State is the type of place that doesn’t let this sort of stuff slide, and investigations like these are starting to pop up more and more frequently, I think it is safe to say that Facebook is in some amount of trouble.
