Waze, the platform bringing together communities on and off the road, today announced Amazon Music is their newest streaming service to join the Audio Player Program, giving drivers a new way to listen to music while in the car.
Amazon Music on Waze offers Prime members access to two million hand-curated songs, over one thousand playlists and stations, and Amazon Music’s full podcast library at no additional cost to their membership. Subscribers to Amazon Music Unlimited, the service’s premium subscription tier, have access to more than 60 million songs and thousands of playlists and stations, as well as Amazon Music’s podcast offerings.
Seamless integration of Amazon Music enables Waze users to enjoy their favourite tunes – always while keeping their eyes on the road. Amazon Music joins Waze’s existing audio partners, making it the latest streaming service to integrate their audio experience into Waze by using the Waze Audio Kit.
“Since we launched our Audio Player back in October 2018, Waze users have driven over 100 billion kilometres while listening to content from streaming services via our Audio Player,” said Adam Fried, Head of Global Partnerships at Waze. “We’re really excited to welcome Amazon Music into the Audio Player family, giving drivers access to their favourite music and playlists to make their time in the car as enjoyable as possible.”
Amazon Music customers can listen on Waze by simply opening the Waze app and tapping the music note icon to select Amazon Music as their audio player. They can start enjoying audio content directly from Waze right away, including playlists, stations and more. Amazon Music customers will also receive next turn directions from Waze inside the Amazon Music app, so drivers can keep their eyes on the road without having to toggle between the two apps at any time.
The Amazon Music integration for Waze Audio Player will begin rolling out from today. You can download Waze here, and to integrate your audio app with Waze, apply for the Waze Audio Kit here.
