Outpost24 Brings Self-Service Simplicity to PCI ASV Scanning

Outpost24 today launched a self-service option for its PCI ASV Scanning. Organizations can now purchase directly online and begin setup within minutes, completing onboarding on their own timeline without waiting for a sales call or a quote.

Outpost24’s PCI ASV scanning service is powered by in-house proprietary technology. The company has been a PCI Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) for more than 20 years, bringing established vulnerability management expertise to the self-service offering.

Under PCI DSS v4.0.1, Self-Assessment Questionnaire A (SAQ A) includes quarterly external ASV scanning requirements. These requirements apply to e-commerce merchants whose websites redirect customers to a third-party payment provider or embed the provider’s payment page, even when payment processing is fully outsourced. The PCI Security Standards Council said the scans were added “to help address common breaches that are targeting SAQ A merchant environments at alarming rates.” For affected merchants, meeting the requirement means allowing time every quarter to identify vulnerabilities, resolve findings and verify fixes before the next deadline.

Each license includes quarterly external ASV scans and unlimited rescans per licensed asset at no additional charge. Findings include severity information and clear, actionable remediation guidance to help teams resolve vulnerabilities. Once they achieve a passing scan and complete the required attestation process, customers can download their Attestation of Scan Compliance as evidence of meeting PCI DSS external scanning requirements.

Available globally from today, Outpost24 Self-Service PCI ASV Scanning is ideal for online shops, merchants of records and payment gateways that need to scan up to five websites, domains or public-facing systems for PCI compliance. Businesses with more complex needs can work directly with the Outpost24 team on a tailored plan.
