Check Point’s new answer to AI-scale traffic

Check Point announced the Maestro Hyperscale Orchestrator (MHO) 200 today. It’s aimed at neoclouds, sovereign AI builds, telcos and large enterprises that can’t afford to choose between throughput and threat prevention.

  • Capacity quadruples. Fabric goes from 3.2 to 12.8 Tbps in the same 1RU box, with new 400GbE ports. Threat prevention scales to 4.5 Tbps per system, up from 1.1.
  • It addresses a common compromise. Check Point says many teams switch off advanced inspection or overbuy hardware to survive traffic spikes. This is built to avoid both.
  • It runs on top of the AI security push. It follows the AI Network Firewall, the NVIDIA collaboration on AI Data Center Security, and the agentic orchestration work released earlier this year.

IDC’s Pete Finalle puts the backdrop plainly: “AI is forcing a rethink of network capacity planning.”

It’s available now in all regions. The release is here.
