Major Bug In iOS Gives Anyone Access To Your Phone Even If It’s Locked
This isn’t good. News has leaked out that iOS 6.1, 6.0.1 and 6.0.2 has a bug in it that allows anyone to bypass the lock code and have complete access to it. The process has been documented in a this video that has been posted online:
Apple has confirmed the bug and has committed to fixing it but no timeline was stated.
Here’s a hint to Apple: ASAP would be the timeline I would expect for a fix.
For those of you keeping score at home, this is the latest in a series of embarrassing bugs in iOS 6. Apple clearly has to get their software QA in a better place before they get accused of being Microsoft.
