If you’re planning to travel to the US, Switzerland, Hong Kong or South Korea soon and you have an LTE device on the Rogers network, this announcement from Rogers will catch your eye.
If you travel to the US, Rogers Customers will be the only Canadian cell phone users to be able to roam on the AT&T LTE network, allowing you to enjoy the same speeds you’re used to at home on the Rogers network, and take advantage of their worry-free $7.99 per day U.S. roaming internet rate. This rate includes free data usage notifications when texting “usage” to3330 while roaming in the U.S. and alerts when they reach 50 per cent, 80 per cent and 100 per cent of their data pass.
Rogers is also offering LTE roaming to their customers travelling to Switzerland, Hong Kong and South Korea. I imagine that more places will be added as time goes on.
More details can be found here.
We’re also offering LTE roaming to our customers travelling to
Switzerland, Hong Kong and South Korea.
