I came across this story that basically says the following:
- 39 per cent of 18-24 year-olds would quit their job if a Facebook ban was imposed in their company. Another 21 per cent said they’d be ticked off by such a ban.
- 16 per cent of 25-65 year-olds would would quit their job if a Facebook ban was imposed in their company. Another 13 per cent would be annoyed by such a ban.
Ignoring the fact that the 25-65 demographic is much broader than the 18-24 demographic (making statistically valid comparisons impossible) the message is clear. If you want productive employees, hire 25 – 65 year olds as they don’t care about Facebook.
