I noticed this page on Apple’s website today. It appears that they want all iPhone users to update to the new firmware as soon as possible. That by itself doesn’t warrant a blog posting, but the fact that Apple is apparently text messaging people to get them to upgrade to 2.0.2 really makes this worth a posting. Clearly Apple believes that the new firmware fixes all the ills with the device, or this is a defense tactic against the recently filed lawsuit. Or perhaps is there some other reason that Apple isn’t publicly telling anyone about? Who knows?
If you’ve received a text message like this with AT&T or any other cellular carrier, please leave a comment and let us know.
