Like that rash that won’t go away, Mark Hurd is back in the news for all the wrong reasons. A letter that was the genesis of Hurd’s exit from HP was ordered unsealed by a Deleware judge late yesterday:
The letter was sent to Hurd from Gloria Allred, a high-profile California lawyer, on behalf of an independent contractor who had accused him of sexual harassment. It prompted the world’s top computer maker to investigate Hurd, who has since joined Oracle Corp as president.
The letter is tied to a shareholder lawsuit filed just after his departure. Hurd claims that the letter which reportedly contains some “interesting” details, is inaccurate. But I’m guessing that he doesn’t want this letter floating around. Expect an appeal to be filed shortly.
