I got a press release announcing a new app for Android and iPhone called TAG which stands for Taxi Assigned by Geolocation. Here’s what sets it apart from other apps:
- It covers Toronto, Mississauga, Vaughan, Pickering, Ajax and is coming soon to Richmond Hill and Markham. It also serves Montreal and Trois-Rivières.
- Taxi companies supporting the app include Astro, A-Black-Cab, Rapid Taxi, Taxi Diamond, Coop Mauricie, and Advance-Unique
- Other cab companies and cities in North America are coming soon.
The app uses your current location to order a cab. You can specify your requirements before the cab arrives: vehicle type (car, minivan), payment method, luggage and pet friendly, and the like. It sounds very civilized.
Intrigued? Download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play today.
