Apple Fixes Maps Error… Do Other Errors Exist?
You might recall that Australian police found an error in Apple Maps that has stranded drivers due to the fact that Maps routed them into the middle of nowhere. The Guardian is now reporting that the issue is now fixed. That’s a good thing. But, Jacqui Cheng of Ars Technica said this when she reviewed iOS 6:
The turn-by-turn directions work largely as expected, though I did have one incident while driving to a place in the middle of Nowhere, Wisconsin in which Maps led me to the middle of a highway before declaring I had arrived at my destination.
So, the question is, how many more of these errors exist? Hundreds? Thousands? Who knows?
Fortunately, there are alternatives that you should use if you value your safety.

i suggest not to use mapes on mobiles – it is way better to use a normal gps like tom tom. that may cost a few bucks but its solid fitted to the car and has a larger display.
