This isn’t good. It looks like that reports are showing up on Twitter that Apple’s iPhone activation servers are down. Here’s a couple of examples:
There are also posts in the Apple Support forums from users with the same problem. As is typical for Apple, they’ve made no comment on this. That means who knows how long it will take before things are back to normal. I’ll keep an eye on this and update this post if anything changes.
UPDATE: According to CNet, the issue has been fixed.
