Today seems to be the day for a lot of news on the Canadian wireless front. On top of everything else, it seems that a new website advocating the entry of Verizon has hit the web. The site consumersfirst.ca has this as it’s tagline:
We’re putting consumers first and standing up for choice in Canada’s wireless industry – are you with us?
So, I was interested in who was behind this. Thankfully, there’s the CIRA’s WhoIs utility that lets one know who owns a domain. Here’s what I got back:

The Conservative Party, who currently are the government in Canada set up this website. This is clearly tied to the plan for them to go on the offensive against the big 3 carriers that I wrote about this morning. Clearly, there’s no prisoners being taken in this war.
I wonder what next week will bring in regards to this fight?
