#FAIL: Martha Stewart Rants On Twitter Because Apple Won’t Come And Fix Her iPad
I’ll just lay it out there and comment later as this is going to take a bit to fully explain. Our saga begins with this tweet appeared on the Twitter account of domestic diva Martha Stewart:
I just dropped my iPad on the ground and shattered two glass corners. What to do?does one call Apple to come and pick it up or do I take it?
— Martha Stewart (@MarthaStewart) September 25, 2013
What most people would do is to “take it” to an Apple store. Apparently she doesn’t see it that way:
I am still waiting for an apple rep to come pick up my IPad. No action yey
— Martha Stewart (@MarthaStewart) September 26, 2013
So, she can’t seriously expect Apple to come pick it up can she? Why yes she is as evidenced by this tweet:
Maybe I have had a good entrepreneurial idea? Apple Now? Like same day delivery from Amazon? I think I am on to something. Same day fixit!!!
— Martha Stewart (@MarthaStewart) September 26, 2013
Huh? If that confuses you, this will as well:
So is it time to put out the fires and admit I was just pissed off at the fact my precious ipad shattered and I wanted to make light of it??
— Martha Stewart (@MarthaStewart) September 26, 2013
I guess she got lit up on Twitter because of her comments. I’m also am guessing that she got the attention of Apple PR:
i cannot believe that Apple Public Relations is mad at me for tweeting about my Ipad and how to get it fixed! steve jobs gave it to me!
— Martha Stewart (@MarthaStewart) September 27, 2013
i wish i could explain everything here on twitter about the broken IPad, the stolen IPhone, the silly joke about repairs and my frustration!
— Martha Stewart (@MarthaStewart) September 27, 2013
but it is impossible so i will deal with it all silently and hope that apple will fix everything so i can function again with proper tools
— Martha Stewart (@MarthaStewart) September 27, 2013
Oh my. What a diva. But she isn’t done yet:
Let’s now talk turkey: Ipads addictive, awesome, expensive. Glass should /could be unbreakable. That the iPad works with cracked corners-great
— Martha Stewart (@MarthaStewart) September 27, 2013
But the cracked glass is sharp and can cut. I was just upset that I(someone)was clumsy and let the iPad fall out of the car. To fix is time
— Martha Stewart (@MarthaStewart) September 27, 2013
Wow.
Here’s my $0.02 worth: She got her iPad for free and expected special treatment. Because after all, she’s Martha Stewart. Domestic diva and ex-con. She isn’t like you and I. When she didn’t get that treatment, she ranted on Twitter about that. And when she got the attention of the Twitterverse as well as Apple PR in a negative way, she started to spin this whole thing faster than a tire on a Formula 1 car. That’s just wrong.
What do you think?

She has more money than God. You’d think she’d be using a newer model anyway?
