Apple is a company that doesn’t go small when it wants someone. Case in point is the fact that Apple has announced that Burberry CEO Angela Ahrendts as the head of retail and online operations. She’ll join Apple next year. Apple had axed John Browlett last year, so they’ve been in the market for some time. But the choice of Ahrendts is a very interesting one. Another thing that is interesting is that Apple and Burberry teamed up to use the iPhone 5S to record the launch of Burberry’s spring collection. I am not sure if there’s anything to read into that, but it is interesting.
