If being investigated by the Privacy Commissioner isn’t enough, now Bell is about to get investigated by the CRTC over their desire to collect all sorts of data on you. Here’s what teh CBC had to say:
A spokesperson for the CRTC said in an email to CBC News that the agency is “aware of the situation and looking into it.”
I think that this should be the big hint to Bell that maybe they shouldn’t be doing this. Either that or the sound of customers running to other telcos because they are doing this. Like yours truly for example will help to change their minds.
Let’s watch and see what happens next.
