BlackBerry Makes New Investment in Security Innovation Center

BlackBerry yesterday announced its intention to open a security innovation centre in the Washington, D.C. area. Through this investment, BlackBerry is reaffirming its commitment to work closely with government partners to encourage ongoing dialogue aimed at making better products and policy for the public and private sectors. BlackBerry CEO John Chen highlighted the news during a speech at CES Government, where he focused his remarks on the importance of mobile security. Though the company put a brief press release, there wasn’t a lot of substance to it. But further details will apparently come later.
