ASUS yesterday had a number of announcements that will be of interest to Canadians at Computex in Taiwan:
ASUS MeMO HD Pad 7 and 8
- These tablets are industry-leading 64-bit Android tablets with the 64-bit Intel® Atom™ Z3745 quad-core processor (up to 1.86GHz). They run on ASUS ZenUI and Android 4.4 KitKat.
- Will be available this summer in Canada starting at $179
ASUS Transformer Pad 103
- The pad has an HD 1280 x 800 display with IPS technology for 170-degree wide viewing angles. This improves on color accuracy for more vibrant hues, with minimal color shift even when viewed from extreme angles.
- It also features a new mobile keyboard dock with a hidden hinge design, and are powered by the latest 64-bit Intel Atom Z3745 quad-core processor (up to 1.86GHz)
- Will be available this summer in Canada starting at $299
ASUS Transformer Book Flip

- The a stylish, innovative and affordable Windows 8.1 laptop with a remarkable hinge design that enables the Full HD screen to be set at any angle between zero and 360 degrees. It is available in 13.3in, 14.0in or 15.6in.
- Will be available this summer in Canada starting at $799.
ASUS Zenbook NX500 Ultrabook

- The world’s first 15.6-inch 4K/UHD (ultra-high-definition) touchscreen with 3M QDEF (quantum dot enhancement film) technology. NX500 uses a powerful 4th-generation Intel Core i7 processor and the latest NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M graphics.
- Will be available this fall in Canada. Pricing details to come.
