Apple has apparently rolled out two factor authentication to iCloud.com today. When I log into iCloud.com, I get this prompt (click to enlarge):

When I click Verify, I get this:

This allows me to choose the device that I want the verification code to. Once I click next (top right in grey), I’ll be displayed with a prompt that allows me to enter the code. Then I get access to my iCloud.com account. I also note that I continue to receive an email when their Apple ID is used to sign into iCloud via the web browser which is something that I noted previously. This move will make iCloud accounts a whole lot more secure than they were previously and it should reduce if not almost eliminate the ability for someone to hack your iCloud account via social engineering or by brute force. Just like a bunch of celebs found out the hard way. Thus this is a very good time to use a strong password as well as using two factor authentication on your iCloud account.
