Summer travel season is well underway and Canadians are flocking to the US. Visiting the US and staying connected to friends, colleagues and family back home is now easier for Telus customers with the recent launch of US Easy Roam. And today, customers can stream their favourite tunes, upload awesome travel pics and share their status faster with LTE data roaming coverage in the US.
LTE Roaming is also launching in 35 popular international destinations including: France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Spain and Switzerland to name a few. To determine if LTE is available in a specific travel destination, customers can visit telus.com/travel, LTE availability will be displayed next to the coverage map.
TELUS customers roaming in these locations will be automatically connected to the LTE network. Customers can also manage and track their data usage while travelling by logging into their My Telus Account and using Data Manager. Through Data Manager, customers can receive real-time data usage notifications right on their smartphone to help keep them informed about their data usage while travelling abroad.
